SNACK TIME: CRISPY SPICED CHICKPEAS

Stop buying snacks! Try to make them at home: cheaper, healthier, and tastier!


I adapted this recipe from a special edition of Cooking Light. I am now forever in love with this healthy munchie!


INGREDIENTS

1 (15oz) can no salt-added chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1 Tbsp olive oil

1/4 tsp ground cumin

1/4 tsp ground cardamom

1/4 tsp paprika

Juice of one small lime

Salt to taste


Preheat oven to 425F.

Combine all ingredients in a bowl.

Bake the chickpeas for 45 minutes or until crips (again, to your taste). Stir every 15 minutes Let cool 10 minutes before serving.

Snack away!
